MAREA means tide in Spanish. There’s a rhythm to nature that we can learn from. When we work with change, instead of against it, we can stay anchored in ourselves while moving toward new depths.

My value of growth, connection and meaning led me to leadership coaching several years ago.

Throughout my career, I’ve navigated several transitions: from Marketing to Human Resources, from CPG to Financial Services, from working with creatives to software engineers, and also several moves around the world, taking me from Colombia to Brazil, and then to the US and Australia. I know first-hand what it means to give voice to something inside you that’s trying to emerge, and what it takes to start again somewhere new, whether we chose it, or it was required of us.

We spend a large majority of our lives at work, and our experiences in this arena impact our personal lives and those around us. This is what I’ve moved toward in each of my transitions – revealing the transformational power of individuals in the workplace. As a coach, I work with leaders to increase their capacity to lead with ease. I am passionate about having deep meaningful conversations that encourage new ways of being in support of one’s goals. Having been in corporate leadership roles myself, I bring my ability to quickly grasp the context and offer both insight and empathy to each conversation.

My coaching approach considers the whole person, where they’ve been, where they are now and what they’d like to be different. Through individual conversations, tailored to the client and the situation, true sustainable development can happen.

My approach is informed by:

  • 13 years of experience in leading global organizations - Nestle and Visa.

  • My work as a Human Resource Business Partner supporting executives in everything from leadership development to team effectiveness to organizational change, as well as my role building career development strategies for 28K employees.

  • My training at the Hudson Institute of Coaching, which takes a developmental approach to coaching.

  • My time at the Kellogg School of Management, which is committed to developing strong, empathetic leaders, whose journey to success starts with a commitment to personal growth.

  • My experience with mindfulness and self-compassion practices.

  • A lifetime of living and working around the world, and a passion for travel that enables me to see the world from a variety of lenses.
